$850 Raffle, Santa, Elvis and Bingo on Sat Dec 2

There will be a raffle for $850 in cash prizes in Vesper on Saturday December 4th right before bingo ! Tickets and concessions go on sale at 5:30pm and winners for the $100, $250 and $500 cash prizes will be announced at 7pm before Bingo begins. Free live music – Elvis will be performing at 6:30pm and 8:30pm. Kids can visit Santa who will also be there too for picture taking. Raffle tickets are only $1 each or $5 for 6. Admission is free. The raffle, Santa and Elvis are sponsored by Kansas Homes & Movers and Danny Huehl. All funds raised benefit the community center.

Volunteers will be selling grilled burgers and cheese burgers, fresh made chicken noodle soup, loaded nachos, cheese cake, coconut, chocolate and peanut butter meringue pie, cinnamon rolls, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, ice cream sundaes, floats, popcorn and more to fund raise for the community center and its programs. The pies and cinnamon rolls are sponsored by Kansas Midwest Homes & Movers and the popcorn is provided by Pioneer Hi-bred Seed of Sylvan Grove.

Popular Elvis Christmas songs will be performed by Brian Lee Dunning at 6:30pm and again around 8:30pm. Brian has been entertaining rockabilly fans for practically his entire life. Raised on his grandparents’ Bob Wills 78s and his parents Elvis records, Brian’s love of American music and style carved him into one of the most energetic and dynamic rock and roll front men in the business. Brian has also toured the nation with the renowned Johnny Cash tribute show “He wears black”. He has shared the stage with such legends as Jerry Lee Lewis, Wanda Jackson, Big Al Downing, Chuck Berry, and Sonny Burgess. A seamless Elvis tribute artist, Brian has portrayed the King at fantasy themed events,sang on the soundtrack for a New York theme park’s Elvis themed show, and was one of only 35 entertainers chosen to perform at the Elvis tribute contest held in the king’s hometown of Tupelo, Mississippi. Brian’s powerful singing voice evokes a style similar to the early recordings of the legendary Johhny Burnette.

The facility is also supported by private donations and grants from Dane G Hansen and the Post Rock Community Foundation.
