While you are visiting memorials around Lincoln County on Memorial Day stop by the Vesper Community Center and enjoy a luncheon meal. A tradition for many years, the menu includes sloppy joes, cheesy potatoes with ham, green bean caserole, a choice of dessert, coffee, tea or lemonade and bottled water. Desserts which include cheesecake, cinnamon rolls, brownies, and a variety of pies, cookies, and cupcakes are made and donated by community members, businesses or purchased with donated funds.
“Thank you for your service” artwork made by area youth to thank our veterans will be on display inside the center. The Memorial Day Luncheon is the community center’s biggest fundraiser of the year. A free will donation is appreciated to cover the cost of the meal and support
