Fresh locally grown produce now available at the Vesper Farmers Markets

Hooray – there will be FRESH PRODUCE today at the farmers market in Vesper today from 4 to 7pm while supplies last. Rocky Hill Farm will have cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, and assorted plants. Come to Vesper and get ready for your 4th of July meal plans. There will also be some FRESH picked cherries until 5pm or as supplies last. Also sunflower seed cookies, poppy seed and banana breads, mocha muffins, and mini pies. Crafts will include home made earings, candles, tea towels signs and more. Concession stand will be offering ice cream sundaes, popcorn and beverages to fund raise for programs like the farmers market. Farmers markets happen every Thursday afternoon in Vesper from 4pm to 7pm at the community center at 1247 N 120th Rd Vesper township in Lincoln county Kansas 67455. Less than a mile south just of off Hwy 18. The farmers market community program is made possible through financial support from local businesses which include Meyer Tire and Lube, the Bank of Tescott, S&S Auto service and towing, Bennington State Bank, World Pest Control, and Kansas Midwest Homes and Movers, Pioneer Hi-Bred Seed of Sylvan Grove, Seirer’s Clothing, Citizens State Bank & Trust and the Hungry Hunter restaurant,. Major grant funding for the community center’s facility is provided by the Post Rock Community and Dane G Hansen foundations.
